Under the seasoned leadership of Coach Joe Kessler, the Shawnee Renegades went far this season, clinching the South Jersey Group 4 Championship title and making it all the way to the state championships at Rowan College. They never ceased to surprise, winning in single, double, and even triple overtime games, and in nail-biters where the odds were against them from the start.  With a stunning 2016-2017 record of 29-4 and an 88% win rate, the Renegades certainly defied their critics and battled it out for as long as they possibly could this season.

The season ended in the championship game held at Rowan College against the undoubtably talented and skilled Linden basketball team, but the Renegades didn’t let that shake their determination. Many players said that this loss was only temporary and that they’d be back at the championships before they knew it . The Renegades knew how to get there as a team, and they are more determined than ever to make it there and win during the 2017-2018 school year.
