This December Spotlight is dedicated to our one and only Mrs. Kehl. She goes above and beyond to help assemble outstanding theater and drama shows, like the most recent Clue! Mrs. Kehl supplies a safe and fun space for students, students like me, to sing, perform, connect, and build a theatrical community here at Shawnee High School. She teaches Chorus and is so kind to everyone. She encourages teens to explore their voices and strive to improve all aspects of music and performance in her classes. Mrs. Kehl devotes her teaching career to helping students engage with the music world and learn to understand the many aspects of music. Mrs. Kehl puts an extraordinary amount of effort into the programs and classes–and can be heard singing with her students. Mrs. Kehl has taken her love for music, singing, and teaching and has spread her skills to her students for many years–students continue to travel to universities to pursue their musical and performance dreams. Mrs. Kehl offers her students a smile every day and aspires to be the music teacher students need, the music teacher Shawnee High School needs.
If you see Mrs. Kehl in the hallway, say hello, belt out your favorite song, or just simply say “thank you.”
