One of our newest staff members here in Shawnee is our nurse, Susan Weimer. She previously studied at Salisbury University and is currently completing her Masters Degree at New Jersey City University.

Her first job was in a psychiatric hospital located in an old Baltimore mansion that closed in the late 1990s. Mrs. Weimer also noted that the hospital is reportedly haunted now! Besides being a nurse here in Shawnee, she also works at The Children’s Hospital Of Pennsylvania on the ER floor. 

Mrs. Weimer has been married for 18 years and has 4 kids, 2 in highschool, 1 in middle school, and 1 in elementary school. She has 2 dogs named Trooper and Gru and 2 cats named Wookie and Coraline. Coraline was fostered by their family and, a few weeks later, adopted by them. 

Mrs. Weimers hobbies consist of swimming, drawing, painting, arts and crafts, and hiking and her favorite food is pizza! Her high school experience was great, however she stated that,”It was hard at times trying to juggle work, school, friends, and family.” So far, her favorite thing about Shawnee is the school spirit and she is looking forward to her time here.
