The fashion industry in 2023 was certainly out of the ordinary. Think of this as a Spotify Wrapped, but with fashion trends. Let’s see what most people and perhaps some Renegades at Shawnee wore throughout this year.
A nostalgic trend, Y2K, was restored this past year. This type of style originated in the late 90’s to the early 2000’s. Various staples during this era included low rise jeans, velvet sweatsuits, baby tees, and more. In the category of sweatsuits specifically, Juicy Couture. With this business starting in 1997, they started releasing their sweatsuits in 2001! This sparked huge popularity to not only the Y2K era, but now Gen-Z!
